My name is Donna Hinkelman. I fell in love with bears and began collecting them. I have been designing and creating bears and other animals since 1993.

My designs and quality products are used in creating my pieces. All are five ways jointed and most have touches of airbrushing and German glass eyes. I use fiberfill, plastic pellets and BB’s as stuffing.

Over the years I’ve received 4 nominations and two Golden Teddy awards, appeared on the covers of two magazines and a feature cover and article in
Bears&Buds. The last three years I’ve entered The URSA Awards contest. Patton, my entry for 2016 won URSA Major-Best Overall. In 2017 I had Charlie as a winner.
He won the 2017 URSA first place award in his category.
In 2018 I had a first place winner with Cedric the Cat in one of the categories and two seconds with Jingles and Humbug. The contest is sponsored by Bears & Buds, an online teddy bear magazine in its 14th year. I am very excited thinking about what to enter this year.

My husband Carl and I celebrated our 63nd wedding anniversary in April. We have a great family; five children, twelve grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Number 30 is arriving next spring. God has blessed us.

I enjoy creating bears and their friends and sharing them with my friends and collectors. Bear people are lovely folks and fun to know. My basement sewing room is my hide-a-way; a happy place and a dream come true.

My creations are one-of-a-kind, have German glass eyes and floss noses
and are accented with airbrushing. They are filled with fiberfill, plastic pellets or copper BB’s or a combination of them.
All are 5-way jointed and ready to enjoy summer fun with you.

	Sawyer is a 25 inch tall bear created in rusty brown mohair with tan felt paw pads. He’s dressed for parade day in red, white and blue clothing, wears a flag pin and carries our American flag. Logan is a 16 inch tall bear made in honey colored mohair with matching felt paw pads.

He’s off to march in the parade with his flag and a red, white and blue ribbon
around his neck.
